Daily Record Announces 2024 Health Care Heroes
June 25, 2024
The Daily Record has selected GKV as a 2024 Health Care Hero.
As home to several renowned medical and federal institutions, Maryland is a national leader in health care research and development. The Daily Record’s Health Care Heroes Awards honor those individuals and organizations who have made an impact on the quality of health care within the state. The winners were selected by the publisher and editors of The Daily Record.
Health Care Heroes are presented in the following categories: Advancements and Innovation in Health Care, Community Outreach (organization and individual), Lifetime Achievement, Mental Health Hero (organization and individual), Nurse of the Year, Nurse Practitioner of the Year, Physician Assistant of the Year, Physician of the Year and Volunteer of the Year.
“This year’s Health Care Heroes really are heroes. They dedicate their lives to making a positive impact on others. When it comes to meeting the needs of their patients, nothing else matters,” said Suzanne Fischer-Huettner, managing director of BridgeTower Media/The Daily Record. “They provide exceptional care to all. We at The Daily Record are honored to recognize their accomplishments.”
GKV was specifically recognized as a Health Care Hero for its community outreach work leading two distinct and crucial public health education initiatives; helping increase the COVID-19 vaccination rate across the state and encouraging Maryland’s nearly 1.8 million Medicaid participants to reapply and renew their benefits. Both public service initiatives required collaboration with many state offices and organizations, and included fully integrated communications strategies and creative to reach Marylanders where they are with messages that inspire action.
“Working on campaigns that are truly impactful to our community with these partners is an honor,” said Roger Gray, Chairman and CEO of GKV advertising. “We are proud of the work and humbled to be recognized as a Health Care Hero by The Daily Record.”
Honorees will be recognized June 21 through an online video celebration at TheDailyRecord.com, on The Daily Record’s social media channels and the daily email alert on that day. The video will be shared to an audience of more than 42,000 business and legal professionals.
Winners will be profiled in a special magazine that will be inserted into the June 21 issue of The Daily Record and will be available online at www.TheDailyRecord.com.
